How does it get better ....really???
It's now been over a week and things are well let's say interesting.
I got my business registered in Dominica yippeee but am still not working. The guy I'm renting from was in the hospital for 5 days after taking me and a few people on a 14.5 mile hike to boiling lake. (gas in his heart??) He just got out yesterday I was so happy to see him and the first thing he said is "You are not a nice person." Wow talk about being taken off guard. Needless to say I didn't know i had an obligation to visit him there but apparently it's written in his book I've never read. Although the flowers were picked for him and on the table as he ripped into me.
I spent a lovely evening talking life with my friend Benedicte last night and i know it is only Jerry's thoughts and perhpas the crazy english lady (whos also staying there) that had entered my head and was making me feel like shit!!!
Today I made a little progresss... I found out that the reason I haven't started at the hotel teaching yet is they want to instill membership club where the memebers get yoga classes. I found this out from a woman at the coffee shop today ( Fadelles).
This is a shop I have been to every day (flower and coffee) I started helping Jennifer organize and clean a bit there today...hey why not I got the time, and she's helping me with contacts here.
I met Avril a lovely Dominican with 2 kids Annabelle and ihsan. She is helping me set some things up as well. And she's a MAC girl....
I have contacted the alternative school (the only one on the island) about teaching hip hop and yoga there tehey said they wold be sure to have someone call me. I'll probably call again tomorrow..... you gotta keep on these people the motivation sometimes needs a kick in the donkey....
I think I found a room to rent up in Trafalga (near the waterfalls) for March. I'm so ready to be here and get er done!!!

Oh the fun of paperwork
Alright so all luggage has been received YIPPPEE!
Now the paper trails begin. I have to register as my own business to get a work permit, which can take a little time.
I've been practicing loads of thai massage of friends who are very greatful....
Last night I went to the garden with Benedicte and collected flowers, and cabbage. I made a big ol salad for dinner yummmmy!!! The guy whos place I'm staying in went into the hospital the other day with a lung blockage and he is still there.
I'm hoping he gets out soon its not the same in the house without him singing and making cocoa tea in the morning.!!!!Instead a very sad english lady is there and is unwilling to change....
How does it get better than this?
Only the next turn will tell. I will dine with Bene, Julie and Ocean tonight!!! Tomorrow I start teaching classes at the University!!!

Arriving
WELL LET'S JUST SAY IT WAS ABOUT 24 HOURS OF TRAVEL TIME WITH A 8 HOUR LAYOVER IN CHARLOTTE, NC. Where I slept on my yoga mat for 4 of those. Then I awoke and found myself practicing yoga in next to my gate where I ended up having a huge audience not what I was expecting or needing that early in the am.
In Antigua there was an hour delay on the flight and when I arrived in Dominica at the customs counter the man said hey it's your lucky day yoga teacher I'm gonna give you a 6 month stay no questions. I thought wow how does it get any better than this? To discover neither of my bags had arrrived with me.
I went to the claims dept and they informed me they would come to the Canefield airport the next day.
I went 2 days later to retrieve one of them. They said the other will be on its way!!!!ok
I experienced Carnival for a full on day. I will upload photos soon.
I have been without phone since I arrived, as I cancelled my services in the states and now my dominica phone isn't functioning....hmmmmm interesting.
I'm working on unlocking my iphone as i type this. What's it gonna take.
I do hope you all enjoy and please comment and ask questions!!!
